This is my first blog entry so I've just titled it with today's date.
The purpose of this blog is to record our family's day to day activities. Every new year I've always managed to get my hands on some spanking new diary but I've never gotten past a few weeks' entries in any of my diaries so far. I hope to do better with an online one!
Yesterday my parents came to visit. I had earlier expressed my concern regarding my father, specifically his hearing. Many times he's caught unawares that he's being addressed. He could be genuinely disinterested in our conversations - but I suspect he's not hearing as well as before. Heck , even I, I think am losing it little by little. But yesterday he seemed perky and chirpy. I had wanted to suggest that he be tested for his hearing but since he seemed ok I left it at that. Both he and my mom seemed to be nicer to each other (Kak LOng confirmed this - the 5 day separation DID it). Both were excited about the prospect of going for their Umrah with my sister Norsham's family in May.
In the afternoon I went to our office. Azmir dropped by and dropped a bombshell. He tendered his resignation. I've never been in a real supervisory position before so this felt to me like we(trivenus) have been abandoned (he got a job offer from Petronas Dagangan).
Earlier in the week, my second daughter Sarah, sms-ed me while she's enroute to visit her friend Shazana, in London. One of my holiday wishes is to drive (actually for my husband to drive) around the UK and see the English countryside in spring. It will probably remain a wish for now but Angah has 2 more years to go so I may get my wish yet. My first daughter Fariza who's an intern at Royal Perth Hospital has been very busy and by her own admission, has no time to eat even. I hope she will lighten up - not sure if she's uptight-maybe just extremely overloaded with work. But she has been sms-ing her little brother with little snippets of her life.
Today I just stayed home and worked from home. I sent a letter to MOHR to request for a list of candidates for Azmir's replacement. This is what I like about this 'job'. I can stay home dressed in my tshirt and kain batik, work some, watch tv some, cook some and even teach my son some.
In fact right now I'm starting to prepare for the family reunion we're going to have on sat. My nasi impit is merrily cooking on the stove. And now my husband wants his tea and currypuff.

Hi test
Glad that my better half started this blog. Hope once it is publicised amongast family members, everyone will post their comments.Good job, DekNor.
I reacted diffrently from my wife with regards to the resignation of our staff Azmir. After many years with Esso, staff resigning is quite normal for me.In fact in early 2000, I presided over the exercise to ask people to accept VSS(volntary separation)as part of the company's restructuring plans.Anyway, Azmir decided to leave to be closer to his dad in Sg Petani who had a stroke recently. His job with Petronas is in Penang. We wish him all the best and we now have to recruit a new staff. This time we'll try to find a Trengganu born staff as our base business is there.
Amir just returned from school. He is having his mid term exams. In fact Ayip is also having his exams at KDU. One of my duties since leaving Esso and starting our own business is to send and fetch Amir to and from school. Now, I have more time on my hands and also get to play more golf. This sunday I have a game with my SIU buddies Anwar and Shariff. My game has also improved maybe because of less stress at work compared to my days at Esso. Ok gotta go. Dah maghrib.
Hi Mom!
Sorry to hear about your employee's resignation. Or maybe I'm not that sorry..anyway, I just got back from London. It was great! The band whose gig we went to was awesome! Makes me want to be in a band too..
ok..just wanted to check this out. love you!
p.s I did well in my exams! whee~
-sarah-
Good job on your exams, Angah. You, Ayip and Amir can form a band since you have your keyboards and Ayip and Amir can play their guitars. Along can brush up on her piano...it would be cool.
Hey guys.It would be cool to be in band.But the problem is, whose gonna sing??Today was boring,the perhimpunan was toooo long.I got my sc marks just now,86,not bad la.Highest was 90..
Amir, mom can sing. I think Ayip can also sing, eventhough suara macam kasar je. So, when Angah comes back in July nanti, you can have your 1st jammin session.
Hi guys. I got 5 subjects 4 my test so far. here the are:
MATH=90
GEO=94
BM=83
SC=86
