Yesterday we had a family gathering at Busu's in Kemensah. Not a full house though coz, besides you girls, Lan and family and Naim could make it either. For good measure, Neng's beau (Hisham) was also mentioned as a non-attendee. (he has sportingly attended several of our family do's). Lan couldnt make it coz 'he has to get Najib's plane ready'.
Yesterday was also Uncle Niza's birthday. I made soto and busu prepared the bbq's. The soto was quite good and the sifu herself (Mak Jo) said she'd be retiring from the Hari Raya soto-making business from this year on.
Most of our conversation centered on the coming elections on Mar 8. There never was an election where we were more involved. We didnt do anything but we are aware of issues of governance and talked more about it.
Oh, our old friend from our SIU days will be contesting for a parliamentary seat in Kelantan this election. Good luck Dato' and kirim salam to Datin.
In your sms, Along, you mentioned that you have been very efficient and rarely need to do overtime while the other interns are clocking O/T's like nobody's business and end up having the last laugh with all that money. Well let me tell you that YOU will have the last laugh. So forget about short-term gains.

Amir just got back from badminton. He's getting quite good - infact hari ni he defeated two school players. Ayip, on friday, submitted his appl for UWA and Adelaide. He will apply for RMIT during the IDP open day - the appl fee will be waived on that day.

Hi Mom & Ayah! Good luck finding a replacement for Azmir. Maybe Ayip can work for you until he gets a place at a uni here? ;) Don't worry about me, am now finding plenty of time to eat.. in fact, I might be gaining weight. We have 'free' muffins on Mondays and Fridays and because I see that they've cleverly deducted $ from my fortnightly pay for common room food, I've been coming early on those days to claim my muffins. ;)Oh and I hope today my home phone will finally be working.. will call you tonight if it is! Internet will take some time. I'm in the process of disputing $ iiNet took from me for services NOT provided, and hv also contacted the telco ombudsman etc etc. I've been busy with this phone problem! Anyway. Hi Along. Yeah, we may ask Ayip to work for us to fill in the gap. But we've also asked Uncle Niza to give him a more relevant training in the Electrical Eng field, so we'll see la. Hope you get to resolve your phone issues. In office today but having sore throat for last 5 days. Went to see the doctor at Klinik Medik and got some anti biotics. Take care.
